Eco-Schools
Eco-Schools is a programme for environmental management and certification, designed to implement sustainable development education in schools by encouraging children and youth to take an active role in how their school can be run for the benefit of the environment.
The Eco-Schools Programme employs an holistic, participatory approach, combining learning and action, thus providing an effective method for improving the environments of schools and producing actual awareness raising and behavioral change in young people, school staff, families, local authorities, and so on, having significant repercussions in the local communities.

The National Healthy Schools Programme is a scheme based on health and education partnerships across the country. The purpose of the programme is to ensure that health education becomes an integrated part of the school curriculum and that the wider community is involved in its planning, implementation, evaluation and celebration. The intended outcomes are that there will be measurable improvements in both health and education in the school and wider community.

Comenius Project: Stepping Out
The project ensures pupils, parents, staff and the wider school communities appreciate and value their own roots. This is achieved by exploring cultural identities , every day language, traditions and the outdoor environment. The exchange of information opens our eyes and broadens our horizons. It gives meaning to pupils learning and encourages them to take ownership of their own education. Tasks undertaken between the schools allows us to embrace and celebrate the differences and similarities between our cultures and countries. The activities are cross-curricular including role-play, art, music, dance, language, sports, history, geography, science and the outdoor classroom. ICT is used throughout the project by e-mail, webpage design, web cams, audio and visual recordings. It provides us with a platform from which we can ‘step out’ and explore Europe.
