Lakefield Memories - Summer 2010
My memory is from the beginning of Year 6 when I was chosen for a netball tournament against Bynea. It was my first time ever getting chosen and I was so excited but also very nervous because we hadn’t had much practice. In the bus we were all singing but when we got there my face turned pale as we saw them practising they were amazing! After a long hard game we found out that the score was 15-0 to them. Even though we lost I enjoyed it and it was a great experience and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I can remember when I first came to Lakfield I was really nervous and thought that the school was really big and a bit scary, but it became smaller to me every year. I can remember in year 5 when we went to Llangrannog, we all had a good time but didn’t get much sleep! Pendine was loads of fun too! We did things like wading through rivers and crawling through low tunnels. I will miss all the teachers at Lakefield and I will also miss being a pupil at Lakefield as well. I have really enjoyed my time and I am very sad that I have to leave.
Lakefield is a wonderful school and it will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss the teachers, dinner ladies and my friends. I will miss Mrs Kenny’s jokes and Miss Williams’s fashion trends. But the thing I’ll miss the most is being in a happy school where everybody smiles, including the teachers! Although I’m leaving Lakefield to go to Coedcae I will always be a pupil of Lakefield School.
